ORRVILLE, Ohio (Sept. 18, 2014) – Aultman Orrville Hospital will host two health talks in October, as part of a monthly education speaker series.

On Monday, Oct. 6, “How Can Physical Therapy Help My Lower Back Pain?” will be presented by Aultman Orrville Hospital Physical Therapist Marla Murdick. Physical therapy can help you improve or restore mobility and reduce low back pain. In many cases, this can be done without expensive surgery or the side effects of medication. Not all low back pain is the same, so your treatment should be tailored to your specific condition. Come learn what conditions are commonly treated by physical therapy to get you back to an active lifestyle. The talk will take place in the Aultman Orrville Community Room at 6 p.m.

“Understanding Hernias” will be presented Thursday, Oct. 23 by General Surgeon Dean Borth, M.D. Hernias are common and can affect men, women and children. The type of hernia you have will determine where the bulge appears on your body. Symptoms can vary depending on the cause and structures involved. Join Dr. Borth as he explains the symptoms and treatment options available to you. The talk will begin at 6 p.m. in the Aultman Orrville Community Room.

Aultman Orrville health talks are free and open to the public. For more information, call Community Relations at 330-684-4703.
