Modalities such as Ultrasound, Electrical stimulation, Traction, heat and cold may be used to aid in pain and swelling reduction. The goal of physical therapy is to assist a person’s return to normal lifestyle by reducing pain, restoring function and educating the person in prevention and self management techniques.
