Growing Healthy Habits Champion Award

Growing Healthy Habits ChampionsThe Dr. Andrew J. Naumoff Healthy Habits Champion Award is sponsored by the Aultman Orrville Hospital Growing Healthy Habits Coalition, to acknowledge and recognize the important contributions of community members toward healthy living, healthy choices and living with good habits personally and publicly. The award is $250 donation to a not-for-profit organization or charity of the recipient’s choosing.

The 2020 donation was awarded to the Orrville YMCA on behalf of Mark Auble and Tammy Lyons. This year the award was presented during a Watch Party celebration hosted by the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce, which took the place of the annual awards celebration.

Mark Auble is Head Coach of the Orrville High School swim team, and Tammy Lyons assists with the student swimmers from Waynedale, Chippewa, Dalton and Smithville, and is also head coach of the Orrville YMCA swim team. The pair are tag team coaches, each stepping in to keep positive team momentum at all times.

It’s not unusual for this pair to dedicate three to four hours a day to practice, ten months out of the year. The positive, healthy lifestyle influence these coaches have had on area youth is immeasurable. The guidance of these two coaches leaves a lasting impression on each and every team member they work with.
